Research Interest and ongoing Research  :

  • Crohn’s disease prevalence and epidemiology

 

  • Endoscopic ultrasound values in GIT disease

 

  • Genetics of inflammatory bowel disease  

Ongoing research  work on :

o                 Anti-TNF therapy in crohn’s patients

o                 protein S as predictor for liver disease

o                 conscious sedation in endoscopy

 

Clinical Experiences:

  • Gastroscopy with all interventions including upper GI bleeding hemostasis, esophageal dilatation, endoscopic band ligation, and endoscopic mucosal resection.
  • Enteroscopy
  • Percutaneous gastrostomy tube insertion
  • Colonoscopy with aigll interventions including polypectomy
  • GI bleeding interventions (heater probe, BICAP, APC, Clips)
  • Liver biopsy
  • Intra-gastric balloon insertion for weight loss 
  • Running Gastrentrology  clinic  once  every  week
