             I have participated as a Research Assistant for the following research projects financed by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Arabia:

 

(1)        Title:               A Study of Diabetes Mellitus among Saudis

 

                        Duration:       Four years (1.11.1411 – 29.10.1415)

 

            (2)        Title:               Study of disability among children in Saudi Arabia

 

                        Duration:       Three years (1.06.1417 – 29.05.1420)

 

(3)        Title:               Applications of Recombinant DNA Technology in

Medicine – On the Look for Genetic Markers for

Non-Communicable Disorders.

 

                        Duration:        Three years (February 1999 – January 2002)

 

     During the work in these research projects, I had conducted the following duties:

§       Participation in preparing the proposals and budjets.

§       Participation in preparing the data collection questionnaire.

§       Coordination with the work teams in the different regions of the kingdom.

§       Visiting most of the regions for training of the work teams.

§       Participation in data and samples collection and analysis.

§       Preparation of the periodical and final technical reports of the projects .
