 Conferences:

 a. Inside Saudi Arabia:

  • Symposium entitled “Al-Andalus, Centuries of Fluctuations and Achievements” (1414H.). The title of my paper read in that symposium being “Islamic Glasses in Marcia” (translated from Spanish into Arabic).
  • Symposium: Fields of Islamic Arts “Islamic Decoration” within the activities of the Tenth Janadriyah Festival for Heritage and Culture (1415H.). The title of my paper being “Islamic Traditional Metals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
  •  Symposium: Antiquities in Saudi Arabia: It protection and preservation (15-18th Rajab 1420H). The title of the paper is: “Care and Straining of traditional material culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
  • Tourism in Saudi Arabia: Its basics and prospects 912 – 14/3/1424H). The paper is entitled: "Folk markets (majalis): heritage, tourism and investment" (King Saud University).

Outside Saudi Arabia:

  • The fourth conference for the Andalusian Civilisation being held in Cairo University (1418H). The title of the paper is: “A New Inscription Dating Coripe Cura Maoror in Al-Andalus” (Co-author).
  • The First Conference on the Folklore, held at al-Mansoura University (1419H.). The paper entitled: “The Traditional Perfume-Tools in use in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
  • Symposium on “Folk Arabic legacies during 100 years” held under auspices of the supreme council of Antiquities in Egypt (19-23/10/1421H). The paper entitled: “The traditional medicine utensils in use in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
  •  Symposium on “Arabic Folklore”, under auspices of al-Mansoura University (19-21/1/1423H). The paper entitled: “Najed traditional architecture between spread and disappearance”
  • The Second Conference for the Spanish Antiquities in the Medieval Ages, Madrid (1987) (Attendance and discussions).
  • The Third Conference for Spanish Archaeology in the Medieval Ages in Ciudad Real, 1988.
  • The Fourth Conference for the Spanish Archaeology in the Medieval Ages, held in Oviedo (1989) (Attendance and discussions).

 Research and Fieldwork Experience:

 In Saudi Arabia:

  • Participation as a supervisor in archaeological excavations and field training, which were carried out at Al-Rabadha in several seasons (1413-1423H).
  • Participation in the survey and excavation works conducted along the Syrian and Egyptian Pilgrimage routes at the north- western part of the Kingdom.
  • The main supervisor for the excavations and field training at al-Rabadha in seasons 19, 20, 22 and 25 (1417H., 1418H., 1420H., 1423H).
  • The main director and supervisor of the excavations and filed training at the site of Qarh (Mabiyyat) in al-Ula province (first season 2004).
  • Participation in the excavations and filed training at the site of Qarh (Mabiyyat) in al-Ula province (second season 2005).

  b. Outside Saudi Arabia:

  •  Participation in the archaeological excavations carried out at the city of Vascos at Toledo in Spain under the supervision of Professor Ricardo Benito in the summer of 1985, 1986 and at sporadic periods during these two years.
  • Participation in the excavation being carried out at San Lorenzo mosque (church) in the city of Toledo under the supervision of Dr. Clara Delgado in the autumn of 1986.
  • Participation in the excavation works which were conducted in one of the Islamic public baths in Toledo in the winter of 1987.
  • Participation in the excavations being conducted at Rabah Fort in Spain under the supervision of Dr. Juan Zozaya in the New Year vacation, 1987.

 Other Academic activities: 

  • Delivering several specialized lectures within the program of the “Academic Forum” which is organized by the Department of Archaeology and Museology, College of Arts, King Saud University.
  • Participation in the editing and publications of the scientific record of the symposium: “Al-Andalus, Centuries of Fluctuations and Achievements” (Five Parts).
  •  Participation in authoring the first volume about “Antiquities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” being embodied in the “Encyclopedia of Saudi Arabian Folklore” which will be issued by Al-Dairah Establishment for Publication and Documentation, Riyadh.
  •  Participation in authoring the second volume about “Archaeological sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” being embodied in the above mentioned Encyclopedia.
  •  Participation in authoring and editing the third volume being assigned to “The Folk Crafts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” which will appear in the above mentioned Encyclopedia.
  •  Participation in the preparation of the documentary book entitled “King Saud University is a lighthouse in the Procession of the Hundred Years” which was issued by King Saud University on the centennial of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (1419H).
  •  Participation in authoring a series of books which are issued by the Saudi Directorate for Antiquities and Museums about the antiquities of the Kingdom’s regions.
  •  Participation in authoring a documentary publication by King Saud University on the occasion of the 20th year of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques rule. The title of the book is: “King Fahad bin Abdulaziz: twenty years of contribution”.
  •  Registration and documentation of the old historical building of Sagr Quraish School (King Abdulaziz Palace at Badi’a –Riyadh), Saudi Directorate of Antiquities and Museums.
  • Participation in the scenario of National Museum and execution of the first stage of the project, for the benefit of the High Commision for the Development of Riyadh City. I worked also as a coordinator between the University Scientific team and the High Commission for the Development of Riyadh City.
