The main aim of this dissertation is to discuss the role Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) plays in education. This is recognised from different views in literature, along with an investigation into the advantages and disadvantages of introducing CALL into public schools in Saudi Arabia. This will be gained by conducting a lesson with the third grade students of a secondary school using CALL. Nowadays, computers play an important role in many parts of our everyday lives. In education, they are considered as aids in many developed countries. That is why this study will focus on using technology as an educational aid in public schools for teaching English, as schools in Saudi Arabia lack modern technology such as the basic computer. Research investigated 15 male Saudi students studying at third grade within the Qassim region in Saudi Arabia, showing great positive attitude towards CALL from both teacher and students.
