This training was extremely helpful to get the Unit Dose Drug distribution System and the gained experience to King Khalid University Hospital. This was particularly important during the establishment of the services.

 Resident Clinical Pharmacist, Department of Pharmacy, King Khalid University Hospital. The experience involved working in a Drug and poison Information Center. Being on call, 24-hours service, to suggest management for the poisoning cases within the Kingdom or Riyadh area.

pharmacy Department and start its

operations. I worked different shifts (day-

evening-and night-shifts). Participated in

preparation of drug lists for drug needed to

get the hospital stared and was almost a

permanent member of the tender preparing

committee. Worked as a member for

examining, approving of offers and

procurement of drugs. I was also a member

of the committee to interview applicant for

work in the hospital. Participated different

administrative and operational aspects of

pharmacy.

This involved interacting with patients, doctors, pharmacy and medical students, and other hospital staff. It also involved procurement of drug not available in the hospital from other hospitals. Involvement in the membership of the CPR team where lectures where delivered and activities were conducted to different members of the health care team. It involved several supervisory positions including acting for the Director of Pharmacy during his absence. 1981-1983
