PREREQUISITE (S):                                      RHS 371

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:                               A review of the administration and interpretation of differential diagnostic techniques for identification of lesions of the entire auditory system. Emphasis on audiological and etiological rehabilitative procedures. Also, the course develops the skills to handle patient clinically.   

 

Several more advanced audiological tests will be covred in the practical aspect of this course.

Tests include speech audiometry(SRT, WDS, PI function), and immitence tests (tympanometry, acoustic reflex, reflex decay)
