PREREQUISITE (S):                                      RHS 247

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:   An introduction to the field of audiology; hearing acoustics, decipel scale, theories of hearing; basic pure tone and speech audiometric procedures; pathologies of the auditory system. Also, the course develops the skills to handle patient clinically.       

 

The practical aspect of this course will cover otoscopic examination, AC and BC teasting, and the baisics of masking.

There is a sound proof testing booth in the university.

Hospital visits will also be arranged.
