Abstract

 

Affect social skills among the multiple and different in the lives of individuals with special needs, in addition to ordinary impact on a social and happiness in the next stages of their lives, and require the ability of individuals to adapt and social interaction appropriate degree of positive social relationships built off the balance of social skills.

And highlights the importance of social skills are great for people with mental disabilities may outweigh its relevance to ordinary peers because of the direct contribution to the development of positive social behaviour, in addition to also suffer from deficiencies of the low level of social relationships, and activities are diverse and kinetic that rely mainly on basic skills kinetic important activity To give people with mental disabilities social behavioural patterns with a positive impact on their social relations.

Therefore, the objective of this study to know the relationship between the level of basic motor skills (in transition, and command and control) and social skills (personal relationships, doing business) for people with mental disabilities capable of learning from the age (17-11 years) and registered intellectual Institute of Education in Riyadh.

The researcher used in the study curriculum descriptive link, and applied study on a group of 41 pupils strength pupil, where the sample derived from the Institute of Education intellectual eastern Riyadh (22 pupils), the Institute of Education intellectual western Riyadh (19 pupils).

It has hired a researcher in this study in terms of basic motor skills Ulrich 1985, Ulrich 1984, and the measurement of social skills for people with mental disabilities capable of learning.

The study found that there is a positive correlation between the level of transitional skills and social skills relating to the performance of work to pupils with mental disabilities capable of learning (Aaron 1996).

There is also a positive correlation between the level of transitional skills and social skills for personal relationship with students with mental disabilities capable of learning where the skill of the horizontal jump feet together, step, skill and Partridge alternately kinetic basic skills more closely related to social skills for personal relationships with mental disabilities.

The results also indicated that there is a positive correlation between the level of command and control skills and social skills relating to the performance of workers to pupils with mental disabilities capable of learning, which is the skill of beating both hands and skill over the firing of the head and kicked the ball skill more fundamental motor skills closely related to the performance of social skills Business people with mental disabilities.

There is also a positive correlation between the level of command and control battles and social skills on personal relationships with pupils with mental disabilities capable of learning
