First: Publications after 2001
1- Research in Modern American Orientalism ( Jeddah,2001) This book consists of three parts : the first is an account of my trip to visit Princeton University and my meeting with Professor Bernard Lewis. It also gives an account of my visit to SOAS in the autumn of 1988. The second part is a translation of a report about Arabic and Islamic studies in the North American Universities written in 1973 and updated in 1975. The third part is some aspects of American contemporary Orientalism.
2- My Trips to the America. The book gives accounts of my three trips to the USA.(Riyadh: King Abdu Aziz Public Library, 2005) 216 pages. Contains summaries of my trips to the USA: the first from the age of 18 to 23 (1968-1973), the second one was when preparing for my Ph.d Thesis (1988), and the third when I was a guest of the International Visitors’ program (September 1995).
3- The Leading Role Of Saudi Arabia in studying Orientalism During the Reign of King Fahad, (Riyadh: Imam Muhammad Ben Saud Islamic University.(2005) This monograph tries to show how Saudi Arabia was a pioneer in its concern about and interest in the field of Islamic Studies undertaken by Western Scholars from the year 1980 till todate. It also brings the attention to the interaction between Saudi and Western Scholars through conferences and symposia.
4- How to become a successful in Journalist? (Riyadh: Dar Tuwaiq, 2004) as a colummist for Al-Madina Newspaper (one of the leading daily newspapers in Saudi Arabia) I received many questions from young writers about the art of writing. I tried to answer the key questions beginners usually ask.
5- Al-Jinadira: the Cultural Festival: memoirs, observations and discourse, (Riyadh: The Saudi National Guard, 2005)
6- The West from Inside: Study of Social Phenomenon (Riyadh: the Author, 2005) This is the second edition of previousl published book in 1998 by Abha Literary Club) with revision and adding new chapter about some positive aspects of the West.

1- The Association of Algerian Ulema and Its Role in the Algerian National Movement (Damascus: Dar El Qualam 1988) (300 pages) This is my M.A thesis (1986). It consists of four chapters dealing with the founding of this association and its activities during the years 1931till 1939.
2- Al-Maghrib Al-Arabi Between Colonialism and Orientalism. (Jeddah: Dar El Risha, 1989) (87pages) (Second printing under preparation). This book contains three papers presented at different conferences. The first deals with the Islamic movements in the Maghrib, while the second deals with the social life in the Maghrib and the attitude of Orientalism and colonialism in affecting the social life in the Maghrib countries before the Second World War. The third paper deals with the discourse of Ben Badis on social development in Islam.
3-Abdu Hamid Ben Badis. (Damascus: Dar El Qalam, 1990)(210 pages). This is a biography of Ben Badis based on original sources.
4- From the Horizons of American Orientalism. (Madina: Maktabat Ibn Al-Qaiem, 1989) 55 pages. This is a report on a field trip to Princeton and London to visit the Arabic and Islamic departments, and meet with some of the scholars in these two cities.
5- The West Confronting Islam (Madina: Ibn Al_Qaiem: 1989). Interest in the Islamic movements has increased in the West since the fall of Communism in Eastern European countries. These movements were termed ‘revivalism’, ‘Islamic Resurgence’, Fundamentalism’ Militant Islam…etc. Therefore, it is our duty as Muslims to know how the rest of the World sees us in order to better understand our position.
6- Nabsh Al Hathian min tarikh Georgi Zaidan (editing) (Madina :Ibn Al-Qaiem, 1989) One year after Georgi Zaidan published his book Modern History of Egypt (1889) Madina found that Zaidan has committed many mistakes in his book, so he set to correct these mistakes.
7-Orientalism and the Intellectual Aspects of Islamic History-a study of the works of Bernard Lewis. (Riyadh: King Fahad National Library, 1416-1995) (614 pages). This is my Ph. D. Thesis. (1994). It consists of four principal chapters dealing with the writing of Bernard Lewis on Islam. The main topics are Islamic creed, Quran, Hadith, some aspects of Islamic Fiqh, and the biography of the Prophet. It also deals with early Islamic history, the basic constituents of the Islamic society, the founding of the Uthmani State, Arab- Israeli conflict. The book deals with the modern intellectual trends in the Arab and Islamic World.
8- The West from Inside: A study of Social Phenomenon. (Abha: Abha Literary Club, 1998-1418) This book deals with the knowledge of the other after knowing the self. It deals with Islamic identity and the importance of knowing the other. Then the second section deals with the social phenomenon in the west. (Second Edition Riyadh, 2005) enlarged and revised.
9- Al-Istishraq Al-Muaaser fi Manzour Al-Islam ( Islamic Views on Contemporary Orientalism )(Riyadh: Dar Ishbilia, 2000). This book consitst of five papers some of which have been published by different Scholarly Journals on different themes relating to Orientalism.
1-Origins of Missionaries in the Arabian Gulf (Madina: Ibn Al-Qaiem; 1990) --Translation from English). This is an M.A. thesis presented to the department of Near Eastern Studies in 1977. The author was an American Navy officer stationed in Bahrain during the year 1982-1974. The Book deals with the Missionary activities 1889-1974. It also contains introduction and comments by the translator. (Second edition by Wamy Office in Madina 1998.
