RESEARCH INTERESTS/CAREER GOALS:

My general interest is systematics of insects, including their life history and ecology. I am also interested in developing manuals for the identification of major groups of insects in Saudi Arabia. I am the curator of the Plant Protection Museum, King Saud University. Current research interests include: (1) biodiversity surveys for wild lands and other landscape, (2) revisions and descriptions of new or poorly known species, especially Coleoptera and Diptera, (3) systematic surveys of poorly known insects of Saudi Arabia, especially present or potential pest species (4) biology & behavior of red palm weevil, and (5) management and curatorial aspects of the Plant Protection Museum, King Saud University.
