· Gross anatomy of head & neck (H&N) including osteology of the skull and cervical vertebrae
- The course is designed to provide the students with a basic knowledge of the morphological, structural and functional anatomy of the different contents of the head and neck.
- Terminal objectives. At the end of this course, the student should be able ato:
o Identify the bones forming the skeleton of the head and neck. (Skull and cervical vertebrae).
o Describe the structural anatomy of the soft tissue components of the head and neck (i.e. muscles, vessels, nerves, glands etc.)
o Describe the functional anatomy of the components of the head and neck (joints, glands etc.).
o Describe the radiological anatomy of the head and neck.
o Describe the structural and functional anatomy of the special sense organs.
