Purpose:

This course aims at realizing the following: The understanding of the communication process and its components with concentration on techniques for aiding development of intelligible speech in individuals with severe and profound hearing loses.

Desired Outcomes of Course:

Knowledge of :

·       Concepts related to oral communication

·       The impacts of hearing loss on spoken language/ informal learning& formal teaching of spoken

       language

·       Predicting of spoken language as appropriate language for children with hearing loss

·       Oral deaf education- video

·       Noise and the learning environment

·       Oral deaf education: Auditory- oral approach

·       Auditory- verbal approach

·       AUDITORY STRATEGIES IN THE CLASSROOM

·       Auditory Skill Development

·       Applications of design of auditory lesson

Grades:
Med-term =  20
Auditory lesson plan (individual) = 10
Auditory lesson plan (group) = 10
Final exam = 60
